Here’s what you need to know about Becca, our engagement/wedding/future events photographer. She’s simply the best. 10 out of 10. She has an amazing eye for shots and is also an amazing person. So down to earth and such a great human being. She made us feel so comfortable and had such great ideas for shots - she made us look amazing. -Adam (+ Alli)

from the soft pink dress to the books on every table, this wedding just oozed personality. bridget and chris chose ruby street in highland park (a super hip neighborhood on the east side of los angeles), which boasts an awesome outdoor space, vintage-inspired furniture and a gigantic stained glass window that harkens back to the building's ecclesiastical past. i got to shoot alongside the wonderful and amazing rachael lee stroud, and from the tear-inducing vows to the shot-tossing toasts, this was a raging party that continued well past the photographers' exits. 'twas a night to remember (as long as you remembered to hydrate before bed). santé!
with twinkle lights and flowers a-plenty, john and molly turned topanga canyon's inn of the seventh ray into a midsummer night's dream-themed wonderland. as the surprisingly warm day turned to a perfect southern california evening, we blotted our foreheads and chased the sunlight up the hill, returning to the party to dance the night away under the stars.
dj a-ko nailed the vibe, spinning 90s classics and all of molly's favorite hip hop tunes. surrounded by friends and loved ones, full of laughter and kisses, it was a celebration befitting the end of any shakespeare comedy...or a really good teen movie with that killer party that you know you just can't miss. point is, it was a stellar affair and i'm delighted to share a sneak peek of the festivities!
taylor, who you may recognize from this epic yosemite engagement session, rolled her love of the outdoors straight into her joshua tree bachelorette party. this amazing airbnb set the scene and the desert came through with some beyond-perfect weather. (mid-80s in june?! yes please!) as per bachelorette party rules, much of the weekend wasn't suitable for the web...but the parts that were can be seen below!
we started the trip with a stop at the creepily-cool noah purifoy art museum. it felt like we might be heading for the beginning of a horror flick about a ladies weekend gone awry, but we made it out alive. the site is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area - just wear closed-toed shoes and hold onto your hats!
surrounded by joshua trees and stunning rock formations, we managed an early-morning hike at ryan mountain followed by a full day of pool lounging, rosé pong and sunsets by the fire. a late night at pappy & harriet's was followed by a rejuvenating breakfast at la copine (seriously, go to here) and a sound bath at the integratron to wrap up the witchy weekend. we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate this outdoorsy bride-to-be. if you're in need of inspiration for a ladies desert getaway, look no further!
when taylor and zach approached me about shooting their engagement photos in yosemite national park, i was beyond thrilled. i love it up there and actually take an annual trip to camp, hike, drink wine, unplug, eat banana boats and hit the reset button. yosemite is one of those places (much like the grand canyon) that makes you feel minuscule in the best possible way.
taylor is a true mountain girl - zach proposed on a cliff in the swiss alps - and my heart skipped a beat when she sent me a photo of the flower crown she intended to wear for our session. i LOVE a good flower crown and was stoked that she decided to lean into her fairy-nymph-princess-hipster-goddess vibe. zach is a showman - front man for the dustbowl revival - and was totally game to play in the woods.
i'd like to think we did john muir proud.
i met erika at the renaissance faire, where she was rocking a killer costume and flawless makeup. (i later learned that she ALWAYS has flawless makeup. seriously. follow the girl on instagram @astylepixie if you need a little #beautygoals inspiration.) i've been dying to shoot with her for a minute, so i was thrilled when she asked me to come along for a session with bright favor LARP. (if you don't know what a LARP is...google it. you're at a computer and wikipedia knows all.)
braving spiderwebs, poison oak and foxtails aplenty, we frolicked in the midday sun and came away with a faun story. peep a couple of photos below and head over here to see the rest. xo
